The state fair is in town. The best thing about the state fair being in town is the DEMOLITION DERBY. If you have never been before, I highly recommend it! You will never experience anything like it. The excitement of cars revving their engines, the destruction when they collide and of course the thrill of fire, smoke and dust. You will leave a better person, I can almost guarantee it. A big group of us from the ward decided to go. Here are a couple of pictures... too bad there aren't any better ones of the actual demolition!

PPS This is taken right after a carnival ride.....One that our lives flashed before our eyes. It was very rickety.
PPPS Smashizzzzle was the name of one of the cars. Too bad it was very badly smashizzled in the process and didn't win! It had a great name and a great paint job. For what it's worth it did win the beauty contest before the derby. SO, Congrats SMASHIZZZZLE!

Did any dirt fly in your face? Having attended many a demolition derby, I truly think the AZ State Fair has one of the best. I'm jealous. Insanely jealous. And please don't tell me that you got to ride the Zipper, too?
